V-cut Design

V-CUT DESIGN explores what happens when acoustic felt becomes an architectural material rather than simply a flat panel.

Using precision digital cutting, routing, V-grooving and layering, we transform PET acoustic felt into patterned surfaces, dimensional compositions, individual geometric forms and suspended screens. Lines can be carved into the surface. Shapes can be layered to create depth. Panels can leave the wall entirely and become suspended objects or spatial dividers.

The result is a flexible acoustic system where cut, depth, colour and form become part of the interior architecture — moving PET felt from surface → depth → object → space.

Why V-Cut design?
Acoustic material as an architectural tool. V-CUT DESIGN is created for interiors where acoustic treatment should contribute visibly to the architecture — PET felt itself becomes the finished decorative surface.

Precision — digitally controlled cutting allows complex patterns to be manufactured consistently and accurately.
Depth — grooves and layered construction introduce shadow, texture and physical dimension.
Flexibility — choose pattern, colour, print, shape, size and layout.
Scalability — from a single decorative panel to complete wall, ceiling and spatial installations.
Lightweight — PET felt allows larger decorative elements without the mass of traditional architectural materials.
Bespoke — selected designs can be engineered so linework continues from one panel to the next, allowing an entire wall to read as one continuous composition. Particularly effective for feature walls, corridors, reception areas, meeting suites, hospitality and large workplace interiors.
Precision — carved & V-cut panels
A flat surface transformed by precision. Digitally controlled routing and V-cutting create patterns directly within the surface of PET acoustic felt.

Rather than applying another decorative layer, the design is created by cutting into the material itself. Lines, grooves and geometric forms introduce texture, shadow and rhythm, transforming a flat acoustic panel into a more architectural surface.

Explore Precision by pattern: Linear (directional cuts and repeated lines), Grid (structured, intersecting and modular patterns), Geometric (graphic shapes and repeated geometry), Organic (curves, waves and naturally inspired compositions).
Stacked — layered 3D panels
Build above the surface. A 12mm PET acoustic base panel is combined with precision-cut 12mm surface elements, creating a layered composition with stronger depth, shadow and material presence.

Where Precision cuts into the surface, Stacked builds out from it. The result is a tactile three-dimensional acoustic panel that changes with light and viewing angle.
Form — wall & ceiling shapes
Acoustic design leaves the rectangle behind. Form turns PET felt into individual geometric acoustic elements for walls and ceilings: Circle, Hexagon, Square, Orb and Capsule.

A single Form can become a subtle feature. A collection can create a complete installation. Mix and match: circles can intersect visually with capsules, squares can sit alongside hexagons, and different sizes create movement and hierarchy — your own composition within a consistent material language.
Tile — small-format acoustic tiles
Tile brings precision-cut acoustic design into a smaller, modular format. Each PET felt tile can feature clean edge lines or a simple chamfered sculpted edge.

Tiles can be arranged in regular grids, offset layouts, mixed patterns or bespoke combinations — anything from a subtle decorative feature to a full acoustic wall. The range includes Circle, Hexagon, Square and Rhombus, in selected colours from our PET felt range, with printed finishes available on suitable designs via bespoke services.
Screens — divide the space without closing it
Suspended screens use precision-cut 12mm PET acoustic felt to create lightweight suspended space dividers.

Openings are cut through the material to create pattern, partial transparency and visual connection — defining zones within open-plan interiors without the visual weight of a solid partition. Light passes through the cut-outs, objects remain partially visible, and shadows fall across floors and adjoining surfaces.

Installations can include individual screens, repeated rows, overlapping panels, angled arrangements and multi-colour compositions, suspended from suitable ceiling systems.
Design + colour + print
Start with colour. Every V-CUT DESIGN can be specified using colours from our PET felt range — one colour for a restrained architectural finish, tonal neighbours for subtle variation, contrast to emphasise geometry, or a project palette coordinated with furniture, finishes and brand colours.

Selected products can also be manufactured using finishes from our Printed Acoustic Panel collection: Wood + V-Cut, Stone + V-Cut, Concrete + V-Cut, Texture + V-Cut, or printed artwork combined with precision cutting so print and material depth work together. For bespoke projects, custom artwork can be printed before cutting so the physical pattern interacts deliberately with the printed image.
Bespoke V-Cut design
If it can be drawn, we can explore how to cut it. V-CUT DESIGN is built around digital manufacturing, making customisation part of the system rather than an exception.

Architects and designers can work with us to develop bespoke V-cut patterns, custom routing, project-specific geometry, layered 3D panels, continuous wall patterns, custom Form shapes, unique Screen designs, corporate graphics, printed and cut combinations, and project-specific dimensions.

Suitable vector artwork, CAD files or initial design concepts can be developed into production-ready cutting files. Please use the bespoke project enquiry form to contact our team.
